Wyatt's First Plane Ride...

I was really nervous about flying home from Oklahoma with Wyatt. I didn't know how he would react to it. He did wonderful. I took my sling Misty made me and put him in that. Half of the time people didn't even know I had a baby with me. (I would hate to know what they thought we hanging off of the front of me:-))
I sat between this "elderly" couple on the second plane. When I say "elderly" I really do mean "elderly"... in their late 80's, early 90's! They were so nice though. He was a doctor (his wife said he had treated the Queen of England!) and I am not sure what she did! Anyway, she talked a lot of the way. She loved Wyatt! And his "brown" eyes! I didn't have the heart to tell her they were blue. She went on and on about how beautiful he was. Then there was a guys sitting behind us and he leans up and says how beautiful he is etc... I am sure Wyatt will be really impressed about being called "beautiful". Scott met us at the airport. We were walking to the get my suitcaese and the guys came up behind us and started laughing! He asked if Scott was the proud father and when he told him he was he said if he would have known how big Scott was he would have signed Wyatt up to be in the "pro's"! I'm assuming he was someones agent! I think Wyatt is still a little young for that! It was kind of funny though!

Hanging out at Abuelo & Noni's house...

Aunt Dafne and Wyatt hanging out on the couch while we were in OK.
Wyatt in one of his favorite places...his boppy! Uncle Noel and Wyatt, the first time Noel saw him!

Wyatt's First Baseball Game...Uncle Bubz (aka Noel)

While we were in Oklahoma, Noel, my brother, had a baseball game. It was a first for Wyatt. He did really well especially since it was so hot.
At the end of the game, the coach put him in the pitch. He did really good there too. My little brother is growing up! Its a good thing I have a son so I don't dwell on it so much! Noel was usually catcher which he did a really good job of.

Our Oklahoma Trip...

We went to the Independence Park on Saturday for Memorial Day. We met some family and friends and had a really nice picnic. Then we went over to the cemetary to see Grandma and Grandpa's graves.

Wyatt's first Harley hat was given to him by Aunt Sue and Uncle Steve.

Our other baby of the family...

Mandie, Dafne, Wyatt, Noel and I behind Grandma and Grandpa's grave.

Wyatt's First Pair of Overalls!

I hate to admit but I was kind of playing dressup with my son! I was only doing it to see what fit him! Most of his hats still don't fit him but these two did! Cute huh?! The week before these overalls didn't fit him well... I guess he has grown some! The other hat that fits him! Kind of...

Wyatt is having fun looking at his new mobile!
We bought Wyatt a mobile, finally, and he loves it. Its just like Payton's. I thought since he enjoyed hers so much maybe that would be the best one to get for him. Its the bright Rainforest mobile. It has bright little animals on it like a monkey, frog, parrot and a dragonfly. It is very colorful and doesn't match his "nursey corner" at all but he really enjoys it so that is all that matters.
I love his grin (which turned into a smile after the picture was taken). Scott took these pictures while he was holding onto his bear.

Playtime at Paytons...

I put Wyatt down on Payton's playmat to see what he would do. He is still a little young to be interacting very much with toys but I thought I would try. He was able to see some of the toys I think because he was trying to play with them. There was a little worm (at the bottom right of picture) and he loved kicking that with his feet! I put Wyatt and Payton on the playmat together. They did really well. They played with the toys on the bars, they tried to play with each other but they ended up only swinging their arms at each other and getting hit in the face. They didn't seem to mind though, they just kept on "playing".

Happy Mother's Day!

This was my First Mother's Day! I am so excited about being a mommy. I know its rather difficult at times, challenging, sleep depriving, and a lot of other things but I would not trade my daily "happenings" with my son for anything. He has been a blessing already in his short time being here. I love being a mother. Scott and Wyatt on Mother's Day! A very proud daddy!! The beautiful flower my husband bought for me to wear. We came home from church and Scott layed Wyatt down in his crib to get him changed. Scott grabbed the camera and took this really cute picture! He is getting ready for his afternoon nap!

Mother Daughter Banquet

On Satuday evening there was a Mother Daughter Banquet and I was not planning on going since I have a son, not a daughter. Aunt Bev called and invited me to go anyway so I decided to attend. We took some pictures afterwards. I am not sure what it is about pictures or if its the timing but Wyatt looks like he is upset or screaming most of the time! He really doesn't, only then!! One of my close friends, Elise, also attended with her daughter (Denicia).
I think that I mentioned earlier that Scott was going fishing on Satuday and I hoped he would take some pictures. He took some when the got back because he said he was afraid he would drop the camera in the water. How thoughtful! He had a lot of fun and is going to go back out with his friend in the next few weeks.

Last few days...

These last two or three days Wyatt has become a lot more active. He doesn't just sleep all of the time. Usually when he is done eating, or before, he will fall asleep. Now he is staying awake more and looking around, smiling a lot. Can anyone tell I'm a new mom?! He is getting so big so fast! I wish I had a pause button sometimes! Scott is going sea fishing tomorrow and hopefully he will remember to take some pictures. I will try to post them when I get them.

Smiling...

He has been "grinning" at us for a few days but today it turned into a full smile. I love it when he smiles at me, it makes me feel like I am doing something right!(Must be a new mom feeling)

Taking a walk as a Family...

We decided to take a walk this evening and Wyatt really enjoyed it. It was the first time that we didn't use the carseat with the stroller and he loved the fact that he could wiggle around.

Wyatt was taking his Sunday afternoon nap in his crib. Somehow he got his hands out, relaxing in his favorite possition.

My First Bath

Wyatt's umbilical cord did not fall off until he was a month old! He had to wait until yesterday to get his first "real" bath
Wyatt in one of his favorite spots... his Boppy. Wyatt loves to be swaddled but sometimes, okay, most of the time he gets his hands out and this is how he sleeps. Already trying to wear daddy's hat. A little on the big side... don't you think?
This is one of my favorite pitures of Scott and Wyatt. Scott has done great for being a first time dad.
Bringing Wyatt home was so exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. He made it and so did we.

Daddy's First Diaper Change!

My mom took this picture of Scott as he was changing Wyatt's diaper for the first time. It was one of the neatest things to see...

Delievery Day

The day we became a family of three...

The beginning...

It seems as if my life came to a sudden halt on April 01, 2008 only to begin again on the morning of the 2nd. That is the day my son was born. Life seemed to normal up until that day. But, I have found that normal is not all that it seems. I can think back to things that I did on an everyday basis only to find that they are no longer all that important. My priorities changed in a way I did not know was possible. Are you able to tell this is my first child? I am sure that it will be different with each one that I have after Wyatt but for now I am a mom of one, and completely enjoying it.
